Being performed and broadcast for the first time on the 17th of March 2021, The Saint Patrick Centre has engaged Verdant Productions, in association with Saint Patrick’s Plate, to bring you:
THE SAINT PATRICK SHOW – A MUSICAL AND VISUAL TALE FROM ANCIENT TO MODERN TIMES.
This 35 minute show is being performed at The Saint Patrick Centre, the home of Saint Patrick in Ireland and will transport you via music, dance and iconic imagery on a journey through the ages.
Inspired by stories and legends from Saint Patrick’s time right up to modern day Irish poetry, The Saint Patrick Show features 2021 Grammy nominated Fontaines DC frontman, Grian Chatten, Matthew Campbell from the Shamrock Tenors, soprano Mary McCabe, and other Irish artists.
The Saint Patrick Show is directed by Belinda Murphy of Riverdance, Vikings and Disney’s Disenchanted fame.
This launch event is a precursor to a series of live events that will be held at Downpatrick starting summer 2021 (when covid restrictions allow). The live version of the Saint Patrick Show will incorporate a 3 course
dinner menu from Saint Patrick’s Plate, a cookery book written by award winning Irish Chef, Terry McCoy.
The Saint Patrick show has been funded with assistance from The Arts Council of Northern Ireland, the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, Newry Mourne & Down Council and Fingal County Council.
